Cat Training
Many people believe that cat training is too difficult, and often let their cat’s behavior problems continue based solely on this fact. The idea that cats are too hard or too stubborn to train, is just simply not true. They may not be as easy or as willing to comply as dogs might be, but training your cat is not an impossible task, in fact, it isn’t even very difficult if you go about it in the right ways.
Now, when referring to cat training, I don’t mean teaching your kitty to do tricks. There is nothing wrong with teaching your cat tricks, but the focus of this article is on training your cat to behave properly in your home.
The best cat training technique is to use positive reinforcement to encourage good behavior. You will see much better results using positive techniques, rather than punishing, scolding, or yelling at your cat for bad behaviors. Keeping that in mind, you should NEVER hit or smack your cat. When you have a misbehaving cat, frustration is inevitable, but physically punishing or yelling at your cat will only worsen the situation.
Positive reinforcement will give you the best results while training your cat. This just means to reward your cat for a good behavior. Giving them a treat or giving them extra affection after they have done something right will encourage them to continue this good behavior.
Another technique is incremental cat training. In addition to positive reinforcement, this technique can be very successful. A possible situation where these techniques could be utilized together is when attempting to train your cat to use the human toilet or training them to go to the bathroom outdoors. Slowly moving the cat’s litter box to where you eventually want them to use as their bathroom, whether it’s the toilet or outdoors, is an example of incremental training. In addition to using this incremental training technique, positively reinforcing your cat each time they use their litter box after you move it will encourage them to continue to do this until they are using the toilet or the outdoors.
Cat training can be a very important aspect of your relationship with your cat and won’t always be easy. When you use positive techniques and reward your cat for good behaviors, rather than punish them for bad ones, you will start to see the results that you want. Show your cat that you appreciate their good behavior and you will find that training them is fairly simple.

Most people assume cats can't be trained just b/c it's not easy like w/ goofy dogs LOL. Cat's CAN be trained you just need a willing cat and patients. They also need some form of reward. You should also know what can and can't be preformed per cat:)
I'm in the process now of clicker training my cat to stay off of objects and area I don't want her in or on. I'm also teaching her to jump or come when called w/ the clicker. The key point I use is 1 click for up and 2 for off. I reward her w/ a treat each time she does as I want. I use a combo of soft voice commands, click, then reward if she does it right. My cat is just over a year old and seems like she's picking it up. Everything I've read says in time I wont need the clicker daily but only to re-instill lost commands or refresh her:) I'm doing her teaching daily or as needed when she thinks she can get on the kitchen counter or claw my drapes. I'm also considering buying the book, "Clicker Training for Cats," by Karen Pryor, this however might not be needed since my cat seems to catch on quick. Maybe I'll just barrow it from the library.
Good luck and don't believe the hype that cat's can't be trained.
This type of training is generally referred to as 'positive reenforcement training'. There's not much to it, just give her a treat and love (petting and telling her what a good cat she is) every time you click the clicker. Then start cutting back on the treats, and just giving her love with a click. She'll learn that the click means you are happy with her. A fully trained cat will won't expect anything with a click, but they will want to do things to get a click, because they know you are happy with them. Make sure you carry the clicker around, so you can give her clicks for absolutely anything she does right.
When you want to train her, say, to sit on the toilet, give her a click when she makes the slightest move in the right direction. So click when she enters the bathroom, click when she approaches the toilet, etc. Then back off the clicks until she learns exactly what you want.
To train against behavior, so to train her not to do something, don't ever hit her or yell at her or do anything that she won't like. You want her to love you (obviously) so that she'll want to do things for you. Just quietly correct her (take her down from the table, for example) and ignore her for a bit. The 'silent treatment' so to speak. She knows when you are happy by the clicks, and she'll figure out fast that no clicks means you are unhappy.
I trained my cat the same way, but I make a sound with my mouth instead of a clicker. He knows not to go out the front door and not to leave the porch in the back, and that he's allowed the bed, but not to sleep on the pillows or sheets. Many people toilet train their cats this way (so they will use the people toilet). Don't listen to anyone who says it can't be done, they just haven't put the time into it. It's even been done with snakes and lizards, so it can defiantly be done with a cat. Good luck!
but what if you dont have the money to buy 7 of each things? it would be a waste to the rest of the other stuff.
Cats prefer FRESH food, Buy them fresh fish, fresh meat etc in addition to tinned food (which is mostly just junk). Also cats are killers, so do they get enough hunting for mice and birds?
One last point: DO NOT OVER-FEED YOUR CATS. A plump cat is an unhealthy cat. Like a human.
Negative: They don't flush (though I've heard of some who do!)
Benefit: No scooping.
Negative: You have to flush.
Benefit: Takes just as long as training them to use a litter box.
Negative: You risk her drinking out of a dirty toilet.
Negative: You'll have to deal with a smelly bathroom if you don't check to flush often…
Negative: You risk getting a dirty cat full of…. You know what…. sleeping on your bed in the night.
Unless you have time, don't bother. Of course….
Benefit: No having to pay for a litter house and litter and a scooper.
So you choose.

You need to introduce your cat and the new kitten slowly, not leaving them together until they've got used to each other's scents. You do that by keeping the new kitten in one room and letting Mumu have the rest of the house. Then bring the kitten out and put her in another room, so that Mumu can have a good sniff around the room the kitten was in.Keep doing that a few times a day for about a week, then feed them together one morning, close but not right next to each other. After they've eaten together they'll be OK. Mumu might hiss a bit but she won't hurt the kitten as she will be used to her scent by then.
If you've just put them together straight away that's why Mumu is not accepting the kitten yet.So you need to start again as if you've just brought the kitten home. We've done it this way for 35 years now and all our cats accept newcomers with no trouble.

i forgot to mention that the day before u wish to first this its important to keep it on in the noose for 12 or so hours so they adjust to it because the meow and scratch before they relize its useless and give up. If this dosent work give it a mild beating and it should submit, otherwise gradually intensify the beating until they do.

normally my cat peed in the bath tub when it couldnt find the litter tray so they don't make you upset by doing it on the carpet (so cute!!
) u could try telling them off just use an upset tone and they might see it is wrong to do it and then put them outside you don't have to lock them outside if they want to come in let them just make sure they see it is wrong to pee in the bath tub and right to pee outside … hope it works good luck
This was fairly interesting & educational. Thanks for posting.

We’ve looked at the problem of orbiting space junk before and the threat it poses to the future of space exploration and the use of satellites. Now scientists have devised a miniature “nanosatellite” fitted with a “solar sail” that can be used on satellites or upper stage launch vehicles. Once the equipment that has reached the end of its mission, the solar sails can be deployed to successfully achieve de-orbit. While it won’t cut the amount of debris already whizzing around above our heads, it will help stop future missions adding to the problem…
