Cat Spraying
Do you have a cat that sprays outside the litter box? If yes, then you have smelled the horrible odor and experienced frustration when attempting to get your cat to stop spraying. To resolve the problem, you must first figure out what is motivating your cat to spray.
Territorial marking is the number one reason why cats spray. Felines are compelled to let others of their kind know that they are around. They may also spray when they are looking for a mate. If you have another cat in your home that fights with the culprit kitty, the spraying may be done to show aggression. Cats hanging around outside of your house can also cause your cat to spray. A move to a new home, the arrival of a new child, or other upsets to the cat's daily routines can cause the behavior. A cat that is under any kind of stress such as living in a noisy household can also resort to spraying.
Generally, male cats are the prime cat spraying offenders. But, some females will also spray, especially if they are in heat. The unique smell of spray is due to chemicals in the **** glands that are expressed along with a small amount of urine.
If your cat has not been neutered or spayed, doing so is likely to solve the problem. But, some altered cats will still spray. For the best results, the surgery should be performed before the age of six months.
One thing that you should not try is punishing your cat. Kitties do not understand the relationship between behaviors and punishment, and the stress may cause your cat to spray even more.
Regular cleaning and scooping of the litter box is important as some cats will spray as a form of protest against poor litter box maintenance. Keep routines consistent including bed time, play time, and feeding. When your cat sprays, be sure to clean the area with enzyme cleaner so that no odor remains. Otherwise, the cat may return to the same spot to spray again.
After trying measures to curb cat spraying, take your cat to a veterinarian. Bladder infections and other health issues can lead to the behavior. Drugs for anxiety such as Prozac can also be prescribed, since your cat could be anxious even if you are not aware of it.
For fighting cats, put them in separate parts of your home if possible. Unfortunately, sometimes the best choice is to give the spraying cat to a new owner. Neither cat will be happy if they are constantly picking fights. Especially if no other cats live in the new home, the cat may stop the behavior.
Another option if the spraying appears to be over territory is to confine the cat to a small area of your house. The feline will not have as large of an area to defend, and may decide to stop spraying. At least the number of messes to clean should be lessened.
Cat behaviorists analyze cat behavior and develop plans to change unacceptable actions like spraying to more desirable behaviors like using the litter box. They can be successful in working with you and your cat to develop better behaviors.

Get a kitten that is 6 weeks old approximately. Feed the kitten. Immediately pick him up and put him in the nice clean litter box (with unscented kitty litter from the store in it). The kitten catches on. Cats are naturally clean. Once in a while yhou may find one that doesn't want to be trained. That's how OutDoor cats are born.
Im agreed!!! I luv u Aki!!
Have you tried covered litter boxes. We have a large cat who has been known to hang his butt out of the box unless it's covered.
yeah, very bad. I'm starting to think he doesn't like it when his litter-box is too clean… ???
good luck !
I work at an animal shelter, and all we do to reduce the stench, is use scented litter, and sprinkle litter deoderizer with baking soda (sold at pet stores) inside every day. Clean the box frequently and wash the box every other day (less if you want). Use bleach to wash to disinfect and eliminate odor. Also, sweep the area around and wash whenever needed.
It is said it is blocked or not accessible in some cities, or accessible in some cities.
But not enough info!
I believe it's a myth. Cats will respond to people who are kind and loving to them, regardless of gender. I've had both male and female cats who have been equally responsive and close with me. One of my females that I have now is like my little shadow. I really don't think the gender of the cat/owner matters at all.
Apple snails are in fact NOT hermaphrodites, they are either male or female (it's a misconception and assumption that these snails are hermaphrodites since so many are).
If in fact your snails did mate, your female will attempt to lay her eggs above the water line. If you want baby snails, you may want to drop your water level a bit in order to give her room. In general, the eggs hatch within 2-4 weeks. When they hatch the babies will drop in to the water. Here is a great informative site that will be of help to you: Once the eggs hatch, the baby snails are hard to "get rid of", so you may want to move them before they hatch, or REMOVE them so they cannot hatch, that's solely up to you! Whatever you decide to do, best of luck and I hope I was able to help in some way. ;o)
Get him a big teddy bear or something to sleep with. Also, a clock that ticks will help comfort him if it is placed near his crate. It's very very important that you do not let him out while he is crying, or he will learn that crying gets him attention. So, ignore the crying, and when it's time to get up in the morning, if he is still crying, wait until he pauses for a minute or so to get him out. Crate training is easy in young puppies, but only if you do it right from the start. Good luck, and feel free to email me a more specific question!
it works my little baby shut his crying mouth
>At the risk of asking in the wrong thread, did you all enjoy qually and did you all get annoyed at Boris?< Hey mate. I didn’t mind Boris, it just went on for a bit too long.

True, but there’s always situations in which the one guy who jumps in to help gets killed. Just look at that student that got beat to death trying to save his friend in a fight. That guy can’t pass his genes on now.
those crazy swedes….
Until the mate's been sitting around for a long time, or gone completely flavorless from over-use it's considered "good." Sometimes hardcore South Americans continue to use the same worn out gourd full of mate until long into the night.
